Rocktober Speech Tournament

Registration Deadline: All registrations should be submitted on Tabroom.com by Wednesday, October 15th, 2013 by 5:00 PM.

Registration Information
You may enter individual students on Tabroom until 5:00 PM on Wednesday. Registration fees are frozen on October 17th at 5:00 PM.
Drops
You may drop students on Tabroom until 8:00 PM Friday. Drops after 7:30 AM on the day of the tournament will be charged a $10 nuisance fee. Please phone in any drops on the morning of the tournament: 207-423-4722
Fees
- $7.00 per entry
- $9.00 per Duo or Ensemble team
- $3.00 per all entries for new schools
Guests
Guests are encouraged. Please feel free to bring parents and friends to observe round, although they will need to provide their own food and beverages. Also, guests should stay for entire rounds.
Judge Requirements
1 judge for 5 entries (one team equals one entry for judging purposes).
Purchasing Judges
There will be a limited number of judges to purchase for $60 per judge.
Judge Timers
Be sure to bring timers for your judges (or have them bring their own). Some timers will be available through the MFA for a refundable deposit of $5. Cell phones in Airplane Mode are acceptable for use as timers.
Food
Breakfast and lunch items will be available for sale to the students. If students do not wish to buy food, they should bring their own lunch and snacks. Students should not leave the school during the tournament.
Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be served to the judges. Only water is allowed in the classrooms.

All MFA Speech categories.
We will also run an Impromptu filler event.
Awards
There will be interesting 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies awarded to the top three competitors in all categories. There will also be a first and second place award for an Impromptu filler event.

Directions
Address: 309 Windsor Road, South China, Maine 04358
From North or South: Take 95 to exit 113 east. Exit 113 places you on route 3 east. Route 3 is also Route 202 and Route 9 for some length of time. Take this Route 3, 9, and 202 about 12 miles northeast to Route 32 south; Erskine Academy is on 32. Make a right turn at the only traffic light in China on Route 32. Erskine is about 2 miles down the road on the right.
*Just as you make the right, there is a Hannaford supermarket, in case you need some food or snacks.
Parking
You can park in front of the school, or you can find additional parking in the back lot. A registration table will be set up at the front entrance.
