A message from the secretary of the MFA, D’arcy Robinson:
It is that time of year again; we need to vote on a Coach of the Year and Judge of the Year.
Coach of the Year
For each candidate you choose to nominate, please write a short descriptor as to why the person deserves the award (optional).
We have the following criteria that we have used in the past:
The Coach of the Year Award is open to any and all forensics coaches of the MFA. Nominees should be distinguished by the following characteristics:
- Integrity
- Sportsmanship
- Participation
- Contributions
- Success of Program
- Leadership
- Longevity
Nominations should be submitted before the State Tournament by Jan. 20, 2015 to the secretary ([email protected]) and an official ballot will be sent to the membership. Voting will take place at the state tournament.
Judge of the Year
For the judge of the year award, a brief descriptor should also accompany the nomination. Criteria to consider could be the:
- Versatility of the judge
- Appropriateness of comments
- Commitment to the activity
This is a wonderful opportunity to recognize some very deserving individuals.
